Egypt Introduces New Investment-Land Allocation Mechanism
On 1 November, Egypt’s Ministry of Housing introduced a first-come, first-served system for eligible local and foreign companies seeking investment land through the New Urban Communities Authority. Applicants must transfer at least US$100,000 from abroad and pay US$5,500 in application-related amounts, including a non-refundable US$500 review fee; the full land price must be paid separately. The mechanism creates opportunities for property investors, legal advisers and compliance consultants. HPC can support regulatory research, investment-process guidance and market-entry planning.
